Dyson is always a symbol of luxury and splendor when it comes to premium hair dryers in the market. And it’s no doubt one of the most expensive hair dryers of today. However, as a competitive rival, Harry Josh is catching up with its’ excellent drying features and excellent working performance.
Today we are going to compare them in detail and let’s see who can rank first in our point of view. Is it Dyson supersonic or Harry Josh’s pro dryer?
We will review and evaluate these two hair dryer models in 5 aspects:
#1. Look Design
As a role model of compact design, Dyson supersonic is a unique hair dryers among all the hair dryers.
- Heat Damage Protection
- Ultra fast drying
- Magnetic attachments
- Bladeless Design
People will recognize it is a Dyson at first sight without seeing its label. There are only four buttons that are visible that allow you to adjust the speed/heat settings. Pretty convenient and straightforward, huh?
The handle is matte, which is textured and ergonomics. And the most fantastic thing about Dyson’s handle is that it is the place where the motor locates. That’s the reason why you don’t see any blades and wire directly in Dyson supersonic because it’s all hidden in the handle. At the bottom of the handle, there is a filter mesh cage, which is removable for you to clean the dirt and debris easily.
Let’s take a look at Harry Josh now. Frankly speaking, the hair dryer from Harry Josh did not surprise us at first because it’s basically a traditional hair dryer looking model.

Although this dryer is not as stylish as we expect, it still has a fresh look. With a classic Harry Josh logo printed on the body, the chubby hair dryer in mint green color has an energetic feeling. The heat & speed buttons are on the back for you to control the temperature and airflow.
During our research, we’ve found other models called “velecta paramount tgr 4000i dryer” and “Sedu 4000i Hair Dryer”, which are the same model as the Harry Josh’s pro dryer.
No products found.
The only difference is that the tgr 4000i ionic dryers come in black or white color options, and there is no logo printed on the dryer. But, it’s cheaper than Harry Josh at half the price.
#2. Feature Comparison
Harry Josh pro dryer vs. Dyson supersonic, who has the most advanced features?
We summarized the content and made a comparison chart below, let’s see if these high-priced hair dryers worth buying.

In short, they both have a compact size and a lightweight design. The Dyson supersonic beats Harry Josh in speed & heat settings as it has a more precise styling control system. Besides, Dyson has an advanced smart temperature system that controls the heat automatically to avoid airflow burning your hair.
Their motors are powerful for home use, but might not be powerful enough for profession salons that need high watts hair dryer. And both of them come with an ionic technology that releases negative ions to make your hair shinier and less frizzy. The Harry Josh pro dryer even has a switch for controlling the ionic function.
What slightly disappoints us is that either of them has a dual voltage setting, which is pretty inconvenient if you want to take the dryer to other countries.
#3. Attachments Included
Dyson has three magnetic attachments come with the supersonic hair dryer, a concentrator nozzle for styling your hair, a smoothing nozzle that dries your hair faster and smoother, and a diffuser attachment that creates beautiful curls and waves. All of the attachments are magnetic and will not easily fall off.
Unfortunately, Harry Josh does not include any hair dryer attachments in the package. You have to buy them separately. But what is good about this is that you can choose attachments on the market according to your needs. Universal attachments come in various shapes and functions, giving you more options than Dyson’s supersonic.
#4. Price Comparison
The price of Harry Josh’s pro dryer is much lower than Dyson supersonic’s. Usually, Dyson’s hair dryer is one-third more expensive than Harry Josh’s. If you are cash-strapped, you should probably think twice before you get a Dyson.
But, Dyson may have exclusive deals on holidays such as Black Friday & Cyber Monday. Keep an eye on their store, and you may get a bargain one day.
#5. After-Sale Service
Regarding warranty, Dyson & Harry Josh provide two year limited warranty. But Dyson’s statement is more clear, and it is easier to reach their staff. You can contact Dyson through email, phone call, live chat, the info are all listed on their website. So my vote goes to Dyson this round.

Both Dyson Supersonic and Harry Josh are decent hair dryer with great-quality. With the latest hair drying technology in the world, drying your hair with Dyson on a daily routine becomes a blessing.
