GAMA IQ Perfetto Hair Dryer Review – It’s Not Worth That Much Money

The GAMA IQ Perfetto is probably one of the hair dryers with the most innovative design besides Dyson Supersonic, but it may be hard to make the decision immediately since it is a very expensive hair tool.

To make your decision a little easier, we’ve reviewed the GAMA IQ Perfetto hair dryer and highlighted its advantages and downfalls. To be frank, if you are interested in buying the GAMA IQ dryer, think twice after reading this review.

Design – We Love The Creative Look

Although GAMA is not a popular brand that is commonly known to people, the GAMA IQ blow dryer left me with a deep impression with its unique product design. At least I have never seen a hair dryer look like this before. Overall, it is a compact hair dryer covered in silver color and it looks professional and fancy.

Unlike traditional blow dryers that come with a fairly big drying body that contains a motor and a drying fan inside, the GAMA IQ Perfetto hair dryer has a very long and thin dryer body that has filters on both ends. Thanks to the minimalistic and lightweight dryer body, the dryer from GAMA only weighs 10.3oz. So you can easily hold it for a long time without tiring your arms.

The handle of the dryer is kind of like Dyson’s design including the straight look and the indicator lights. But the way you control the heat and speeds is slightly different because of the buttons’ positions. And it has a traditional cool shot button on the front, which makes it pretty convenient to get cold air instantly.

Styling Experience – Quiet & Ergonomic

Noise-wise, GAMA IQ Perfetto hair dryer is successful in reducing loud noise while drying your hair. I believe it’s because the drying part is designed to be smaller compared to other regular blow dryers, which makes the hair dryer pretty quiet. According to GAMA, the noise level of the Perfetto hair dryer is only 78db, the specs are decent for any hair dryer on the market.

Besides the excellent noise level, I also love the feeling when I hold this blow dryer at hand. Although it’s an extremely lightweight product, you won’t feel insecure thanks to the well-balanced and ergonomic design. And there is one thing I love about this hair dryer more than the Dyson Supersonic is that you can change the settings more easily and conveniently.

As for the attachments, the GAMA IQ Perfetto hair dryer doesn’t provide any special attachments. You will get two nozzles for quick styling and a diffuser for curly hair in the box. They are dependable and easy to attach, but nothing surprising.

Drying Performance – Not As Expected

I was very excited about how good the drying performance can be, but it turns out the GAMA IQ Perfetto hair dryer does not have obvious advantages over other cheap blow dryers regarding drying results.

“The GAMA IQ Perfetto hair dryer dries hair 30% faster than any other professional hair blower.”

“The product is 7x more powerful than other hairdryers.”

You think this hair dryer is going to cut your drying time significantly? That is not true, it only dries your hair as other dryers do. It does not fasten the drying process at all, and it is actually slower than my ghd Helios dryer. Other than that, although GAMA says they use Oxy Active technology in this dryer to make your hair more healthy and shiny, I must say that it does not give you a visible result instantly. But I admit that it can give you less frizz and heat damage compared to cheap hot dryers.

Luckily, the GAMA IQ Perfetto hair dryer comes with 5 temperatures and 3 speeds, which is a reason that I don’t hate the drying ability. It provides a more precise heat system than most dryers, which allows you to get the best temperature and speeds according to your hair textures.

Are Those Fancy Features Useful? – Not For Me

Old hair dryers’ filters need to be cleaned from time to time, GAMA claims that their hair dryer can automatically clean with its auto-clean technology that rotates the turbine in the reverse direction. It sounds pretty advanced, but I am not sure if the function really works. To maintain the condition of a hair dryer, you just need to clean the filter when it’s blocked by the debris once a year. A fancy auto-cleaning technology? I don’t know.

GAMA says their memory function technology can memorize and lock the speed and the temperature, so you don’t have to set the settings every time. However, when I am blow drying my hair, I would go for the medium or high heat first and change to low after a couple of minutes. So I don’t have a fixed drying temperature in my styling routine, the memory function does not work for me.

Is It Worth The Money?

The GAMA IQ Perfetto hair dryer is a very pricey hair dryer, and I think it is overpriced. It is one of the most innovative and fancy dryers in the world but it is merely a hair dryer with a couple of more functions. For people who love the appearance of this hair dryer, you can still give it a try. But if you are looking for a price-effective professional blow dryer, the GAMA IQ Perfetto hair dryer is not your choice.
